I’m a little lost and lonely. For a few weeks, I’ve shared my life with Anya, Nina, Meredith, and Vera, and when I finished this achingly beautiful novel the other evening, I felt as if I had moved away from my best friends and from myself.

I had not heard of the novel or the author before and thought, “Well, that’s nice” when my sister gave it to me for Christmas and said that this reminds her of me. Oh she was so right as I found parts of my own character in both sisters, Nina and Meredith.

I think this book will stay on my shelf for a second read; as a matter of fact, I might just re-read it beginning tonight.

Oh wait, I have 50 essays and 60 shorter written assignments to grade. Ah well, there’s spring break in 2 months.
