The wave of the future. From what I read, it looks like China is converting old phone booths into what is called WiFi Hotspots. They also have an attachment that you can plug in to make regular calls,

    BE ENCOURAGED! BE BLESSED!

Yes!! It’s true :) I have used them and you often see people with ‘smart’ phones standing around near them. They aren’t always the speediest wifi but can be better than nothing if you are stuck and need to connect. I think it’s a great use of old phone booths. They do add charm to the concession areas. If you really need good wifi go to almost any coffee shop and they will give you their password so you can hook up while you sip your drink.
    Have fun!

I relied on the coffee shops … and, to my surprise, many other restaurants. In fact, I used WiFi, my iPad, and a translation program to order when out by myself in Shanghai.
