Lightroom does more than crop!

Well, of course I knew that, but I’ve recently gotten a little better using the dodge/burn tool, and I like to share with you when I learn something. Look at the difference between the two. (I might even want to back off a bit in the image on the right to give a better sense of proportion and depth…making the interior a little “softer.” I think that something between these two images would be better.)

    I agree :-)
I am hopeless with photo editing Mona. Just can’t seem to find the time to learn a few tricks.

  2. Nice! Yes, I’m constantly finding new things on Lightroom lol

I could just hang out on the computer for hours playing with the editing tools.

It was a beautiful photo, all you did was a little polish, Mona. Thanks for sharing it!

I agree. I should learn some more about editing too. I bought Photoshop elements in October, but usually just go with a quick edit as I haven’t had the time to learn abut the tools yet. This seem like a handy one. :-)

I took an online course in Photoshop last year, but soon forgot most of what I’d learned. I DID print out the materials and refer to them from time to time. If we don’t use it, we lose it, right? I do appreciate the ability to fix problem shots with editing…especially those images that are pretty good but slightly marred. For example, I have a sweet shot of Elle, my granddaughter. However, she has the remnants of Christmas Eve dinner all over her face. In a different kind of shot, I might like it, but I wanted a clean face for this picture. I was able to take out every single crumb through editing. I cannot do major jobs…and I want to learn how to.
