I am in Indiana. My father’s journey is about to end. His wife, his ten children, many of his grandchildren, and numerous friends have gathered to say goodbye.
He is truly the kindest, most generous, most Godly man I know.
I dedicate today to my parents, Martha and Stephen, because she is in the hospital recovering from major surgery. I pray that both of them will be fine as she heals.
The gentleman who runs the historic mill house in my home town snapped this picture moments before I left them (yet again) to return to my life 2000 miles away. Martha, my mother, has been a hard-working woman, doing manual labor all of her life. Stephen, my father, was a master craftsman with wood and his mind. As I said in the post below, he is succumbing to the horrid thief, Alzheimer’s.
