When a friend suggested that a local butterfly atrium would be great place to take pictures, I was eager. Knowing how difficult it is to take shots of butterflies, I figured this would be the perfect place for me to practice. I was at Butterfly Wonderland yesterday before it opened its doors at 9 AM and did not leave until after 1 PM. I was captivated. I sat and absorbed the quiet beauty, I watched people in their delight at the exquisite creatures, and I took hundreds of shots. It was a wonderful day!
Here are a few of my shots. Do you have a favorite?

Wow, this is really a wonderland. Delicate wings and bodies. I am sure you couldn’t stop taking photos.
Oh you are so right.
🙂
I recently went to the Butterfly Wonderland and like you I was there at 9 am when they opened. I loved the whole experience and can’t wait to go back and get some more photographs. You got some beautiful shots while you were there!
Oh thank you. It would be great to meet you there.
What a wonderful collection of shots!
Glad you had such a great day – it sounds like a neat place : )

So many beautiful photos! My favorite is yours 🙂
🙂
I’ve not yet been although 2 of my friends go often. One of them said it’s very humid there this time of year so I’m waiting til it cools off a little. Lovely shots.
The humidity is not too bad. I did have to clean my lens a few times, but not enough to keep me from returning. Thanks for the compliment.
My favorite is yours, also! But lots of wonderful shots!
Love each of the images in this blog post. Beautiful Mona.
