My 1st time on the ice… Thank you, Daddy!

Today, my older son and I took my granddaughter (umm…his daughter) ice skating. It was heartwarming to watch him teach her; he was patient, encouraging, loving, and fun.

I believe that if more children could spend time with their fathers, our world would be a lot better place.

My younger son became a father two days ago, and I can’t wait to watch him teach and play with his daughter. I know that he too will be a patient, encouraging, loving and fun father.

  1. Loved all of these, but the last one is my pick. The angle of the legs and the three ski boots together, and the father/daughter closeness, all of it is great. Congratulations on your third granddaughter, too! And Happy New Year, Mona!

    • Trish, I completely agree. The last one is my favorite also & I might just get it printed to give to my son. It does show their closeness, doesn’t it? And thank you on the 3rd granddaughter (you are quite observant). I don’t have a good picture of her to post yet, but I will … soon.

    • Inga, that is exactly what I want in my pictures … to elicit an emotional response … and you have given that to me. Your comment means a lot to me. I wish you a happy new year also.

And thanks for the congratulations. I am truly blessed.

  2. You should be proud, not only of your photographs, but of the son you have raised! You really captured the bond between dad and daughter! Congrats on your third!

  3. Great qualities to have in a father, husband, and as a man, “he was patient, encouraging, loving, and fun”, says the proud mama. Congratulations on the birth of your new grandchild.

  4. I’ve never seen an ice-skating training device like that before. Interesting.

I believe that if more children were able to spend more time with their parents, not juts daddy, the world would be a better place.

I'd love to hear what you think.
